Did you read the article yourself?
The article said Vick "Teamed up with United Way". Did you go to school?
The United way gets millions of donations worldwide....United Way has the raising power to generate millions over the course of a 1-2 weeks time, which will surely happen.....$10,000 gets the ball rolling.
How much did you give?
Do you understand how wealthy this school already is? This is an elite academic institution, with enormous academic and athletic budgets, while the NCAA pays about $1,000-$2,000 per semester/quarter for a student-athlete to live on....while the NCAA and the Universities reap millions.
Where is the NCAA in this? Vick is just a pimple on these peoples backs.....the NCAA could dump literally MILLIONS into this situation.
How about you re-read the article for yourself. I don't even like Vick as a QB, but your opinion appears a bit biased based on a hindered foresight.

OMG Vick Again? He didn't HAVE to give that money, it was a donation, did you donate anything? And im sure that the victims really dont care about money right now, thier son or daughter or brother or sister just died. They would not care if it was 100000 to each family are just glad that people out there care and it won't just go away and be forgotten. Another Vick hater huh? No matter what he does it is the wrong thing. He donates money, its not enough money for you, so he is considered a bigger monster and greedier than if he had not donated! What is wrong with you?

Why exactly are you judging him? He made a donation and that is all that matters. He did it as a good gesture. Nobody forced him to donate. At least he gave money to the victims families. He is getting a bed rep from people like you just because he didn't donate more money. Give him a break, after all, he is helping people in need. Don't judge him, he has done a lot compared to everybody else on this earth.

That was a very nice gesture, everyone should not have to suffer because of a few bad apples and hopefully the ones that were bad feel like crap when they see what you did.

Its a nice gesture but no money will go far enough for what the campus witnesses and families have experienced, this is event truly unbelievable.
I was not a VT fan but i am now and my heart will rest with the victims families and the campus.

It was certainly a nice jesture on Vicks part and something that he wouldn't have had to do at all but I did think that only $10,000 considering the money he makes in in NFL and his endorsements was a bit weak.

Yes he should definitely do more. He has a chance to really change the publics opinion of him by doing this, but 10g's are definitely not enough from a guy making the greenbacks like him.

It is enough.
If your brother, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend, son, or daughter died would $312.50 make you feel better?
Would $3,125.00 make you feel better?
Would $10,000?
Exactly. The money isn't the point of the gift. The point is to let the families know someone out there cares, that they are not alone. I think this "gesture" says that.

A very nice gesture that hopefully will inspire others. He can't be expected to shoulder the whole thing.
