I bought a wind chime dreamcatcher and hanged it on the ceiling over my bed. I am into the native american music and culture. Since I put it up there I now have trouble sleeping through the night and I have weird dreams that seem real?
Am I crazy or is there a connection of some kind?

As a Navajo, most dreamcatchers I come across are plain dreamcatchers without the chimes. Most are made with a metal hoop, but traditional dreamcatchers are made with willow and sinew. The story I was told is that it catches all the bad dreams in it's maze of web while the good dreams come thru the hole in the middle to you. As such, you have good dreams. So, for you to have bad dreams, I am not sure about that. You will have to talk to someone with this dreamcatcher culture. He/she will tell you everything. Navajos don't have a dreamcatcher culture, but we do make them to make money.

No, U should stop using a wind chime dreamcatcher and hanged over your bed. Get rid of it now and get house blessed by god asap.

Chinese said that a wind chime is the invitation of the dark side.

A dreamcatcher should help you sleep better. The idea is that the web catches nightmares, and prevents them from getting through to you, while the hole in the center permits good dreams to come through, and they slide down the feathers to you. Perhaps you could try cleansing it, if you don't know anything about the people you got it from, or the people who made it. It might help to make sure that thier energy is gone from it....
Make a point of writing down your dreams to look for an interpretation though, they are trying to tell you something..

Real dream catchers are for babies and children, who need the protection of Grandmother Spider. If you are an adult, you do not need a dreamcatcher, and the medicine in it will backfire. That is why traditionally, my people made them out of willow and sinew. When they collapsed, the child no longer needed the protection of Grandmother Spider.

Dream catchers have no scientific bearing on your ability to sleep at all. However, they do have a psychological impact. If you think they help you sleep then they might, and vice versa.

You say it is a wind chime?

Maybe when you move it jingles and it wakes you up just enough to be disturbed.

There is a connection. Like most superstitions, this is playing on your imagination. The more you think about it, the more it will happen

Dream catchers are supposed to stop the bad dreams. Maybe your dream catcher is full, and you need to purify it to get rid of all the bad dreams it has caught.
