When do you think they will give an interview? I would be interested to know what they have to say.

I think they ARE responsible if they never got him any mental health care when he needed it.

I think they are probably busy dealing with their own stuff. It's really no one's business and they don't owe the public an interview or an explanation. They certainly can't be held responsible for this.

I agree with Peter, it's not their fault and they owe us NOTHING!! If you had a child that had done the unthinkable, would you be jumping for your national interview? Anyway his aunt that is still in South Korea gave an interview and said he was a cold child that didn't talk and she called him an idiot.

Yep, always blame someone else. It would be a crime for someone to be held accountable for their own actions instead of blaming the parents or the teachers or the authorities!!!!!!!!!Pathetic.

I hope they won't give an interview....I take it they've got enough on their mind as it is already.

I admit, I too wonder how their relationship with their son was, should they have noticed how their son was feeling.....??? (hey, I'm only human)
But I firmly believe it's none of my business, the parents are not the ones who committed this horrible crime, whatever their relationship with their son.

Probably humiliated that their son, that they fought and worked so hard to provide a better life for, disrespected their family name. They are probably also trying to mourn the loss of their son. Despite his actions he was still their son. My heart goes out to them.

We'll hear from them, probably via a family spokesperson in due time. I did hear a comment that the family was shocked that he did what he did.

remember this is an Asian family and the whole saving face thing. I doubt you will hear from them. They are very likely humiliated and ashamed.
