BCPs can be taken one of two ways.

Sunday Start: You take your first pill on the Sunday following your period. Example: If your period starts on Friday 4/20, you take your first pill on Sunday 4/22. USE BACKUP birth control for 7 full days (till 4/29).

1st Day Start: You take your first pill on the same day as your period starts. Example: If you're period starts on Friday 4/20, you take your first pill on THAT day. You do NOT need to use back up birth control.

ALWAYS: when in doubt contact your prescribing doctor or pharmacist or READ your INFO INSERT.

You should start taking it when the doctor tells you.

You could take the first pill on a Sunday so you don't have to mess with the stickers for the days of the week.
