Well, I imagine you got fired for a reason, right? Why would your old boss want to hire you back? If you got fired last year than chances are pretty good you have been replaced. Why don't you find a new job and make a fresh start? Vow to not make the same mistakes you made at your old job and maybe you won't get fired again. Good luck.

Ask.
Really.
We just hired a guy back for the THIRD TIME!
Demonstrate to your boss that you're not the same person he/she fired. Explain why you want to work for the company. And above all, show that you have something positive to offer. Good luck.

Did your boss explain WHY you were fired? Was it personality conflict, or was it performance related?
In any event - if you want your old job back (and it is available) - I would ask to meet with your old boss & see if there is a chance of you being rehired.

Call and ask to make an appointment with him. When you get there, tell him you made a mistake and you will try harder this time if he will just give you a second chance. Tell him how much you loved your job and just want it back. Give him a really good reason why he should give you another chance. good luck!

Most places have a rule that says you have to wait a certain amount of time after you are fired before you can be rehired. ;) Have you been sulking over this for a year?! Get a bleeding job! ;)

You probably wont end up getting it back but i dont rely no tht much about jobs either....so instead of waiting for ur old job back i would just look for another job so i can get back on my feet.......

most likely you won't get that job back. But I suggest that you move on and get another job.
