I am making a website and need a forum. My question is," Are there any books out there, so you can learn to make a forum site, or websites that might help."

If you want a free forum, you can try Proboards (see sources) or if your Web Space Provider supports PHP, try Simple Machines (see sources).
Personally, I used Proboards. They are easy to use and facilitate.

Check into Google Groups: it's similar to a forum setup for a website, and if you get into their discussion and look at the help files for that Google mechanism, then you may find information on that aspect of a website.
