I was paranoid Charlie was going to die all the way through. I think the girl at the end could have been Desmonds daughter that he had with Penny that he didn't know about. Penny could have been pregnant when he left. I don't know how ago he left her though. Or it could have been a daughter with that first girl he tried marrying but ran away to the monistary instead. Those are my theories either way.

If you remember from last year, Penny was looking for Desmond for quite some time. Who knows for how long. And when Desmond pulled the key to blow the hatch it gave her radar a notification of letting her know it could be where he is located. The girl at the end was probably hired by Penny to find Desmond. Penny could have been with her on the flight and is now on the island. We'll know more in the coming episodes.

The girl at the end, Naomi, is with the group of people who were at the ice station in the season finale of season two. She and they were hired by Penny.
Naomi is way too old to be Penny and Desmond's child.
I think Penny is where the transportation that brought Naomi to the island departed.

by saving charlie, desmond changed the furture so for some reason with charlie dead it would have been penny there but with charlie alive it was naomi instead dont know if that helps but have a look at my source it may explain it better also it's one of the best lost sites around

I believe he changed the outcome by saving Charlie and the other passenger in the helicopter was his girl Penny but and he found Penny's friend. Who knows where Penny is?? We will see next week.

I think he changed everything when he saved Charlie, who knows who that girl was, but she knew his name, maybe it was someone Penny sent to find him, everything surprises me on that show, guess that is why I love it so much.
