How should the cervix feel on day 13 of cycle? I'm not really familiar with checking the cervix when trying to conceive and so I'm not entirely sure on what would be the normal at this point. Thanks!

When you are getting close to ovulation the cervix should be at SHOW--Soft, High, Open, and Wet.
It will feel very soft like your lips instead of firm like your nose.
It will be very high in the vagina--you may really have to reach to feel it and it will feel very short.
The opening will be slightly opened--just a small slit.
And your mucus will be like raw eggwhites--very slimey and when you pull your fingers out a long string of mucus will string from your fingers when you pull them apart.

Not every woman ovulates on day 14 like is common belief. Check your cervix daily, in the same position, and when you start to notice changes then ovulation is nearing.

Well that depends how long your cycles are. You have to know that first. When you are around Ovulation time, your Cervix should be high, and hard to reach with your fingers, soft to the touch, and slightly open. Similar to your lips. When you are not ovulating or maybe after your period, your cervix will be lower, hard, and closed. You should also chart your BBT that is a good way to know when you have ovulated.
