Thats what we were thinking of your question. "No one really cares."

First, it's not a perversion any more than any other sexual act. It may not be right for you, but don't judge what I do behind closed doors and I won't judge what you do. Pretty simple.
It's not advertising "perversions" it's advertising a gay-friendly area, don't like it, just stay out.
GLBT people do want to be part of society, but that doesn't mean we must abandon our pseudo-culture. We still need gay bars, because we can't pick up at straight bars very easily because people are still uptight.
I guess that's the problem, we need gay areas because people are still uptight. If people didn't really care, like you say, they wouldn't be needed.
So if you want it gone, preach non-caring and acceptance. Make it okay for gay people go to into any straight bar to pick up people of the same sex.
And stop calling it a perversion, that just reflects poorly on you, because it shows that you do care, in a negative way, and so long as those ideas stay around, so will the "gayborhood".

Gay people want to be part of a society where they are accepted and can live their life in peace. People like you are out to destroy any chance of that. So the next best thing is to carve out a piece where acceptance, tolerance, humanity thrive. That is the definition of a 'gayborhood' .

"perversions," thats very inconsiderate. I guess it makes them know that a lot of people like you don't live there and thats a good thing. You act as if you're living in a gayborhood.

So I guess all those little cliques and neighborhoods in NYC and other major cities mean these people want to be separatists too? Or is it maybe that they just want to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance, and they believe there's strength in numbers. A place where they can embrace their commonalities yet still maintain their own sense of identity? Is that too far fetched to think? I mean what about the Jewish neighborhoods, or little Italy, or Chinatown?

You seem to care quite a bit, actually.
You sound like those bigots who get all bent out of shape when someone wants to rename a strip of ol' Route 69 "Martin Luther King Street."

Homosexuals ARE a part of society. They make themselves visible so that the gay-bashers can't deny they exist. Until every gay man and woman comes out of the closet there will always be people trivializing and marginalizing them.

the reason they post things like that is so that if someone protests they can call the person a homophobe and scream " hate crime" The Nazi's used similar methods of manipulating public opinion in the 1940's. Playing the victim card while being predatory.

WoW...you are a really ~~special~~ individual. You saw signs about a gay neighborhood and they bothered you. So, naturally, your response was to come into the LGBT section and ***** about those signs...makes sense

If only ignorant bigots would keep their hatreds to themselves, the whole world would be better. I guess some people don't have such self-control, and prefer to commit hate speech.
What energy it must take to get upset about a silly sign, and to fight against equality, peace and justice!

You should follow your own advice. Stop advertising your perversions and keep them to yourself.
Thanks for stopping by, though.
