My mother did when she was pregnant with my brother. She started bleeding in her third month. She bled so much that she thought for sure she lost them both. She did not know that she was having twins...she went to the doctor and then they told her that there was still a baby in there. My brother always seemed like he was missing something. He had mental problems for most of his life and ended up committing suicide...sorry it was not a happy ending. Yes, it is possible.

Medically most of us started out as a twin. It;s called the disappearring twin. The dominant baby takes most of the vitals to survive. The other twin dies and is consumed back into the uterine lining. Most of the time it happens early in the pregnancy so most people dont know they started out as a twin. Its a medical finding.

Yes, it happened to me in 1999. Was about 6 weeks along, had a scan, showed 2 babies, only 1 beating heart. My body absorbed the fetus, no bleeding, cramping, nothing. Went on to carry other baby to full term and had a c-section.

Yes it is. That happened to a friend of mine. She was kind of far along in her pregnancy though. I think she carried the dead baby until the other twin was born.
