No they shouldn't. they are not disrespecting anyone by having sex. I think our society should worry more about respecting people while they are still living. Someone could be hated, critisized, and ignored by the rest of society. All of a sudden when a person dies or is killed they deserve respect. If you do ont respect the person while they lived then why bother after death. Respect those who still are living.

Ah, no. Sex makes most people feel alive and gives comfort in a time of crisis or tragedy.

No. One of the things that makes a travesty worse is when people change how they conduct their lives because of it. For people to gone on with their live isn't disrespectful of the dead. If anything it's a triumph of the human spirit and resolve. It takes power away from the evil.

I hope you're joking.

Life goes on. I certainly wouldn't want any family or friends of mine mourning to the point of stopping normal functions of life.

And how do you know that they they have not been mourning together, and their closeness just led to the next natural step and actually made them feel better? When one of us is going through a rough time over something, sex always makes my hubby and I feel better. It's only natural.

Some people find comfort in each others arms you know...I've spoken to several "widows" who claim that the day after their husbands/wives deaths that they had the strange reaction of wanting to have sex...who knows what causes this. Perhaps it is that such trauma causes people to seek out the primal needs in life...shelter, food and sex.

Different people have different ways of dealing with tragedy. What works for you may not work for them. Actually, it is quite normal for them to affirm to themselves that they are alive after something so tragic happens. Don't judge too harshly.

How are sex and respect for the victims of the VT tragedy even remotely related? Get over yourself.

Isnt it better to try and begin living life normally once again??? The victims would'nt want us to be sad so long. Instead, they would want us to remember them with fond memories...

No. Life goes on, as it should. People take comfort in different ways, and physical relations is one of those ways.

Maybe they already did. Just because you think they should doesn't mean they should. How long should someone morn, and would it be long enough for you? Knock it off would ya!
