It kept telling me this was advisable.in the event of a crash etc. I put in a dvd-r which it advised and the operation completed successfuly. During the operation I got a screen asking how I would like to open the prog. I chose NO ACTION. I`ve inserted the disc to check if OK, guess what nothing happens. Please help what have I done wrong

Hi i would suggest you make the DVD backup a bootable one as it will probably be an iso file and needs to be bootable for the drive to be able to read it.

Hope this helps.

humm.. I though Packard Hell went out of business...

Anyway, try booting the pc from the disk you made - it's used for restoring the pc in the event of an emergency & probably doesn't have any windows autoplay options.

If you've got additional questions shoot me a message.
