Just reading an article asking who works harder men or women? and i was rather annoyed to find alot of people saying women. I must say i do not agree with that.
I personally feel i work harder than my partner and have a few male friends that do the same. i work 10 hrs and she does 8, i do most of the house work as she mainly does the cooking, washing & cleaning is done mainly by myself, and i take care of the finances. so pls can some one tell how they work harder and yes we both look after the baby, i would help with the breast feeding but that would rather difficult.

Too broad a question IMO.

Men are proven to be more generalist and women tends towards detail.

For example, when I clean the bathroom my partner always goes in and cleans it after me. When I ask why she tells me that whilst I am great at scrubbing the toilet and bath till then shine, I am pretty rubbish at spotting things like the grime under the tap or the dirty light switch.

Given that you mentioned a baby, I can guess what is happening cause I went through it too! Sometimes men can feel a little unappreciated when there is a baby around and that can lead to a little resentment.

It is not a question of who does how many hours you do or how much house work but how much support you give each other. You could do everything in the house and pay all the bills but if you dont show her you love, cherish and support her it will be for nothing.

If you do really feel hard done by draw up a list of chores between you and agree who should do what.

Good luck :)

It all depends on what the situation both the male and women are in. Most males I know work physically hard, while most females I know not only work physically hard but also work had in keeping certain emotions and emotional issues in check. Some of these emotional issues may come from the job, their home life, their children, themselves, or even their mate.

Most but not all of men work on or entertain "heart issues", now their are some men who work on both physical and mental or emotional issues as well; so in conclusion I would say depending on the setting sometimes men work harder and other times women work if not more harder than their male counter parts.

Hope this helps
This reponse was obtained by experiencing both male and female individuals in different parts of their lives after they left their hourly jobs, not just one aspect. Examples: the stress that can come when things aren't going right

If the above response doesn't help, thank you for reading it and have a nice day.

Tragic isn't it how a stupid magazine article can spark a debate that should never occur. Work should be done by the first to spot it as it is a form of love. It you're feeling put upon by the amount of work you're doing to take care of your family then you have forgotten the reason for doing it. There is a time in a relationship when we really would walk across a bed of nails for each other and then as time goes by we bicker about who has to lift those heavy socks off the bathroom floor! How loving is that? The question should not be who does the most work but who the hell cares who does the most work? If you're the one concerned about work it is time to start to care about other things again.

As long as you work harder in your relationship, thats all that counts. Generally though, women do work harder, looking after the house, paying the bills, doing the washing & ironing, making sure your happy & the children are looked after. That is a full-time job. Personally, i work 4 days a week, 10hrs a day & im female. Then, i come home & have to do everything else i mentioned. With abit of help, yes but... my job is very physical, heavy & dirty but, i dont complain. I bring home $1000 AU a week.

Well in todays world both. Women will work harder and so will Men in some cases One will work harder than the other but if you check history you'll find men have been in it the most. And that a man invented most inventions like cars, computers and microsoft by men. I'd say men for the past few million years but since the year 2000 I'd say both now but before men.

I suppose it all depends on what your life is like, so you can't say either men or women work harder than each other.

A man who lives alone gets home from work, has a meal and relaxes in front of the tv, for example, works less hard than a single mum who holds down a job and is involved in every aspect of her kids lives.

A single father in the same position works harder than a woman who has no kids and is married to a wealthy man.

It's all relative.

Some men work a lot harder than women. Some women work a lot harder than some men. I have to admit that my husband works harder than me, but that's not to say I don't work hard. A man is able to do more than a woman in many ways.

There is no doubt that men always will & have always worked a lot harder than women.

The problem that women have is that they talk to their women friends & all men are now lazy.

Men don't go out talking about their women, we just get on with doing the things that we have to do & can't stand the nagging
