I've had constant nausia for the last week and a half. I've always eaten spicey foods, but got heartburn the last time I just ate chips & salsa. So tired, every day. I've been on the pill for 8 years, and always take it right. Is it possible for me to get pregnant?

I experienced fatigue, especially while at work. Lol, particularly at a bad time, I was up for a promotion, it didn't help my job performance all that well. Lol. That's what prompted me to take a pregnancy test. I felt fatigued, I would crave foods I didn't normally eat, I could barely eat, food just wouldn't stay down because of the nausea. I was horribly cranky! Almost like PMS, and I've never had PMS. I missed my cycle by 3 days, so I was concerned about that. I slept way too much. I cold sleep a whole day away. After my test came out positive I went to the doctor, and they said I was 6 weeks pregnant. I'm almost 20 weeks now. Symptoms are different for everyone though. So, it may vary for you.

Bascially, it will take 2-4 weeks after conception before any "real" signs and symptoms take place. Here are a few and the other possibility:

Also, heartburn isn't a sure sign of pregnancy. Although you have always eaten spicy foods, you could have become sensitive to the spices.

Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.

Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period. This symptom is commonly explained by other reasons. If you have been sexually active and have missed a period, it is recommended that you take a test: Find a Free Testing Center or Order my pregnancy test

Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding.

Swollen/Tender Breasts:
Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, impending menstruation (PMS) can also cause your breasts to be swollen or tender.

Fatigue/Tiredness:
Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.

Other Explanations: Stress, exhaustion, depression, common cold or flu, or other illnesses can also leave you feeling tired or fatigued.

Nausea/Morning Sickness:
This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Food poisoning, stress, or other stomach disorders can also cause you to feel queasy.

Backaches:
Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Impending menstruation, stress, other back problems, and physical or mental strains.

Headaches:
The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Dehydration, caffeine withdrawal, impending menstruation, eye strain, or other ailments can be the source of frequent or chronic headaches.

Frequent Urination:
Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.

Other Explanations: Urinary tract infection, diabetes, increasing liquid intake, or taking excessive diuretics.

Darkening of Areolas:
If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance unrelated to pregnancy or may be a leftover effect from a previous pregnancy.

Food Cravings:
While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Poor diet, lack of a certain nutrient, stress, depression, or impending menstruation.

Unusually darkish and/or profuse lip hair, thickening of pubic hair, carnal insatiability, ringing in only one ear, spontaneous dizziness, strangely vibrant goals, strangely stupid goals, absence of goals, large quantity of goals (are you noticing a fashion right here?), surprising dislike of the feel of pickles/cucumbers, and all kinds of different arbitrary matters. The elementary suggestion at the back of any "historic wive's story" signal is to leap on whatever that turns out spontaneous and arbitrary and declare that it is a signal. When correctly it's ordinarily as a result of different elements which might be close to completely unrelated. However should you begin getting fairly designated approximately colour offerings for even essentially the most trivial of matters then you already know that you're pregnant.

First symptom, factual: your period is 'late'.

Other possible ones are. Sore nipples, sensitive breasts, the idea something is going on in your body, cravings.....but these also apply if you wish you were pregnant.

Yes there is a 'minute' possibility you could be pregnant, specially if you take other meds or have (had) the flu. The only 100% safe way is abstinence. (or not even that if you believe some ufologists)

Even if it is said that it can take a couple of weeks to get signs, you can really get them earlier. I started of having signs a week before my period was due. Right now, I am having "morning sickness", but last week, when we weren't completely sure, I was exhausted and having "evening sickness", too. I could also tell in my breasts - I never got PMS symptoms in my breasts, but I believe that within a day or two of conceiving, my breasts were feeling funky - very unusual for me!!

It is always possible for you to get pregnant. What you have described is pretty dead on for a lot of girls in the first weeks of pregnancy. You might want to get a test from the drug store, or go see your doctor to make sure.

My first signs were that smells bothered me and that I stayed tired all the time. Yes, you can get pregnant on the pill, I did twice. Please go see your doctor or go to the health department and find out for sure. Early pre-natal care will help you have a beautiful healthy baby.

Usually the earliest sign I had that I was pregnant was missing my period and craving certain foods!
