how rare is it to find petrified wood in the cleveland ohio metro parks?

i found a piece about 3 inches by 2 inches of what iam 99% sure is petrified wood also is it worth anything?

Considering how many people traverse the parks I would say it's virtually imposssible. Take it to a geologist at a local college and let them look at it.

If you found petrified wood, it didn't come from Cleveland Ohio!! Somebody dropped it there. No retail value. BUt a fun collector piece and a story to tell...
