Why not take her out for a meal / cinema / etc. Or get her one of those photo shoots and photos after as a day trip. Or go sauna / beauty place together.
Try something different, even going to a chocolate factory / wine tasting / theme park?
Or get her a mix of smellies from everywhere so she can treat herself to all sorts of things, everyone loves smellies.
Another idea, figure out your friends birthstone and buy her lots of little gifts in that colour and put it in a bag of that colour. Then get her a bear / necklace (cheap one) holding that birthstone incase she doesn't get it, that will explain it.
I do it all the time for Wedding Anniversarys, 25th Wedding Anniversary ( Silver things) etc!
Something different that the receiver won't forget!

I was watching a comedy show recently, and one person said to the other, "what do you get a person who has everything?"
The answer was "Inoculated!!!"
Apart from that, try something small like a signed photo with autograph of her favourite celebrity. Or maybe a friendship ring that you both can wear.

First off, how much are you willing to spend for her? It'll be really hard for us to answer your question if you're just gona spend like say £20 on her and we're gona suggest say a mobile phone!!!
And secondly how old is she? You've gotta tell us so we can think up of better ideas.
You can get:
A mobile phone
Friendship things
Make up/cosmetics
Jewellery
Stuff from shops (Claires, New Look, Topshop etc.)
Cute things!
A balloon!!
Etc. Etc.

I always think a special piece of jewellery with a nice inscription goes down well, you know what ur friend wears and you cud think up something personal and meaningful to have put on it. your friend will be able to treasure and always look back at this, also remembering the special friendship and laughs you have shared. good luck and happy birthday to your friend...

Give her money.
Or whatever you do end up buying her, if she doesn't like it or makes a fussy deal over it, get offended, after all its the thought that counts, its not her god-given right to receive presents for her birthday.

I have a Friend like that, I always find it safer to buy her a gift voucher for Next or somewhere, that way she can choose what she wants, as oppose to me getting her something she hates and her pretending to like it! Saves all the awkwardness.

Get her something really daft and stupid but that you know will mean a lot to her because its from you!
Either that or a day at a spa for the two of you

think how your friend is like. is she girly, sporty, a music lover, a book worm, a gamer, etc!
since you didnt say much about her, i say give her a charm bracelet with her name ingraved with one of the charms or have the first letter of her name as a charm. and you could put in a lil fancy jewelry box and even have her name on it too!!
hehe, i know, its seems like am obsessed with having your name on everything you own. but alls im saying is, having a gift thats personalised is very special.

Gift card at her favorite store or restaurant. Or a hand made certificate for a ‘girl’s day out’. Manicures, pedicures, and lunch your treat.
