I think anyone who says that needs to find their way into the garage, find the anti-freeze, and slam the entire bottle. If you're reading them typing about people being racist now, you can count of a few things: 1. He/She is an emo. 2. He/She is rich. 3. He/She are 14 or under.

Call a spade a spade there are WORTHLESS people in every walk of life doesn't matter what there skin color is but it seems these people want to live in a circle of hatred and stupidity with racism sueing people and just asking dumba** questions that are sick and unthoughtful in times like this!!! I'm really wondering what kinda society is it in which we live!!! Seek the truth!!!

You know I never thought about it until I had a talk with my dad (WWII Veteran) he said that during the war with Japan, anyone with Japanese blood (even Japanese/Americans) had to be collected and kept as prisoners or sent back to Japan. That's when it made me realize you never know who you are standing next to. The Geneva Convention aboloshed that act, as you know the war with Iraq and then with the twin towers. I had a co-worker from Iraq during the Gulf War and I asked her if she felt threatened coming to work every morning. She said she had hoped she made strong enough friends that they would not hold it against her. Some people who come to this country are very loyal, some more so than American born.
In this case it is one person. How can it be the start of new racism? What already is, is. People can't change with one incident of one person, it was a personal vendetta, he may have been a racist or just mad.
But one person cannot change the world. At least I hope not.

Good question.
I think this is such a senseless act that people are reaching for some explanation they can wrap their heads around, preferably something simple and black-and-white. People immediately see that the gunman was Asian, so race becomes the first thing that pops into their heads. Also, America, for whatever reason, is pretty obsessed with race, so people fixate on it and it becomes their answer for everything.
I'm afraid the answers, if there are any, are much more complicated.

Some people need to make everything about race. They should be more concerned with mental health issues.

The problem is that no one wants to blame the shooter for the shootings... so they blame his race... they blame God... they blame the teachers, and the police... they blame Cho's parents, his guns, and his video games...
But they don't blame Cho...
