1.Basically this game is not related to Indian country,it came to India since the British rule was in India.
2.As game is easily understandable, more fans hailed from India, wasting their precious time for watching it ,nearly 8 to 10 hrs,and to talk about it for another 2 to 3 hrs and wasting the other peoples time also.
3.Huge amount is being spent , not even is spent ,it is being enjoyed by the so called BCCI.This amount can be utilised for anything good for the people.Even this amount can be utilised for joining the rivers all over India.
4.When a country has already lifted the Cup once in 1983, and played in the finals in the last World cup,2003.It should have been more cautious enough to win atleast in the preliminary level, and been in Super 8, to some extent the criket fans would have seen some more matches .When the players and the team do'nt give any respect to the fans and play recklessly and why should there be a team for Cricket.
5.Either the player not in form should quit the the game or the thinktank alteast be bold enough to bid good bye to the players who are not performing well. Both are not happening, their is o faith with the young generation.
6.Even a player consequetively fails also finding his place in the team, and so real people talent is not coming out. When there is no sportiveness in all these aspect, why such sport should exist let it exit.

Cricket is not necessary for India, or any other country. But it is a type of game played by people to gain exercise, enjoy themselves and be active. Such games are good and useful to the society. It creates harmony and unity. Except when people go too far.
In India, the moment the local cricket team fails in a certain match, the entire country begins to throw stones at 11 poor cricketers. 11 chosen from the best are serving for their country of 1 billion people. The people overreact to any mistake by the 11 and that is what makes Cricket a very dangerous thing in India. I'm surprise none of the cricketers were killed by the public. Peopl have heart attacks and riots. Security guards posted outside the cricketers' homes. 1 billion people expecting the world from 11 cricketers is too much. No wonder people think Cricket is not necessary for India.
If things continue as now in India, Cricket will have to be banned from India to protect the people. Funny how much trouble a simple game can be, when mixed with angry supporters.

1. It is a game that consumes too much of manhours.
2. It does not create employment but takes away the productive time of men (and now women too)
3. It is worse than horse race betting as millions of people from high school kids to the man on the operation table are taking interest and spending their time.
4. Bernard shaw limited the explanation to the people in the stadium by saying that " Its a game of 11 fools on one side and 11 fools on the other being watched by thousand fools around.
Perhaps he didnt know one day people outside the stadium in millions
Cricket or for that matter any entertainment should be like pickles to a meal. it should not become a main dish.

Cricket is not necessary for India because it is the only game in which whole day is wasted in playing and seeing and obviously India can not afford this, during this time many other works can be done like cleaning roads, educating poors; attending patients, etc.
