Some icons are opening but some are not opening.

The icons with the .lnk extension are merely shortcuts to main program files. You can safely delete .lnk files, and re-create the shortcut manually if the association has been corrupted.

LNK files are shortcuts, a link to the actual program. It basically contains the icon, the directory, and the acutal program path (in a sense, it's like the old Windows 3.1's PIF files)

How are you trying to "open" them any way?
