How do i know if a certain guy really cares for you?Him and i cant be together in any kind of relationship due to some personal matters but we are friends helping eachother through tough times.But time together has gotten a little intamite and all of the sudden when i thought everything was good...he tells me he is scared where this is going and is slowly pushing me away..what does this mean does he like me or is he telling me it meant nothing?We are friend and he is afraid to even hang out as friend and i had told him i respect him as a friend and will do whats best but it hurts..i think i fell in love..how do i know and how do i know how he feels about me?He also says he doesnt want anyone to get hurt..but it hurts being away from him.

been there done that and seen it a million times. its so hard and painful. it either means he wants to move on or he doesnt know what he wants. its best to back off completely and if he wants you he will come back to you. don't text him or ring him reguarly, don't nag him just leave him completely and utterly alone for a while. guys think things out differently than girls and the worst thing you can do is be in his face. its soooo hard i know, i feel for it. just hang in there, or if you feel you can, even better, just move on.

For whatever reasons, he is not ready to get more serious with you, now, and may not ever be. Or, one day maybe he will.
You can stick around and give him his space, waiting for possibly a very, very long time for him to either get ready for you or else get snatched by someone who doesn't care if he's ready or not.
Or you can be on the lookout for someone else.
It depends on what you want. Some people aren't happy except when they're unhappy.

He is being honest.. He really worries the future of this relationship.. Give him time or sit down with him and sort out his fears

He cares about your feelings very much that's why he's gently moving away, trying not to hurt you too much. It must be getting too intimate for him and he's quietly bowing out.
