During Easter dinner at my mom's this year, there was an important hockey game on the TV. It went in to overtime right at the same time as our family dinner began. Was it wrong to continue watching the game from the dinner table while we ate?

It would depend on your family. Are you the only one that thought it was a big game? If so, the impression you are giving to everyone else is that you value the game over your family. Common courtesy should prevail in this instance. However, if there are several people who think it is a big game, it would simply be a difference of opinion and go ahead and watch. It may even spark some conversation.

Yes, and to the first guy A Jew wouldn't be celebrating Easter. There is a reason MOST sports don't hold their games on the big Holidays, at least in America. Yeah that Easter thing would have sucked. I could understand WANTING to watch but the way I was raised if you having a FAMILY meal then the TV is off. If the rest of the people were fans of the teams and wanted to watch them by all means watch.
Hey Wings that excuse may work on Good Friday, but Easter Sunday you have to say he Arose so you can watch a Hockey game lol.

Yes, it was. I had the same problem. I was invited to my Dad's for Easter dinner and they scheduled it right when the Toronto-Montreal game was happening. Luckily, I was recording the whole game and I watched it when I got home. No harm.

think of soccer on Thanksgiving Day. what proportion households watch that interest? in the journey that your finished kin became fascinated then no. its by no potential a sturdy concept to waste nutrition. yet as long as your mom isn't mad at you or something of the kin and you ate her wonderful meal any way with any luck it heavily isn't a brilliant deal. you adult adult males made it a kin subject particularly than an unique few staying faraway from the table to observe it. to be certain you have no longer have been given destiny subject concerns attempt to time table dinner early or make it a kin custom as long as you all LOVE hockey. in my kin if we've conflicting perspectives we tape the interest or compromise on it. yet we additionally consume beforehand the donning events start up, too many human beings ought to nonetheless artwork the massive vacations (scientific experts). yet we by no potential leave out a meal mutually and if we get to argue over activities as a kin then lots the greater constructive.
