In all of my 43 years I find this statement to be true in almost every case.
Now whether it's positive , or negative attention depends on the situation.

i have two mice and when their wheel squeakes i grease it up!

THAT depends on how MUCH it squeaks and how ANNOYING its squeak is.
Sometimes it gets REPLACED, instead!
