depends on how old you are...
Ronaldinho obviously started at a very young age, and basically grew up kicking a soccer ball.
You can start now, but it means being VERY dedicated to the sport. No sitting around watching TV or playing on the computer, you will need to spend all your free time working on your dribbling skills and ball control.

soccer 24/7 nonstop and on top of that conditioning, run. do something physical every second of your life. join as many soccer events leagues and anythings that you can...at home practice by yourself just passing against a wall or something. make your traps and passes quick and perfect, throw in fakes...good fakes. and besides that just get together with friends and play!

move to south america, africa or europe. without competition,its hard. in nigeria i used to play at least 3 times a day, a period of 2 hours. i can only maintain 3 games in the us a week..work at what u are good at, speed, intelligence,composure, shot. have fun too.
