Each one of those students had that right and a few decided to stand there and take it (get shot).....and some decided to fight back.
You don't get a promised of a safe and secure life when you're born, things happen, good and bad.

You'll find that out as you grow older.

And if you actually think your Government is always going to be there to protect you....you're in for a very rude awakening.

You have rights, but at times you need to fight for them.

Not true! The individual rights are to life, liberty and property, none of which can be taken away without it being a true loss of freedom.

But one of the fundamental rights to the right to life is the right to defend oneself and one's property. Reliance on the government for this protections is simply giving up essential rights for a false sense of security.

Go talk to the suicide bombers , and insurgents and the terrorists and see if they feel the same way. It is not just the US in this conflict.
