make a sandwich.

Its up to them, and in this day and age, i would say (being 15 and at a school where ervyone loves to express themselves!!!) that being homosexual is more widely accepted than racial equality! There are quite a few homosexuals in my school, as far as i know, and 2 girls in the year above me are going out together...no one cares.

This is a legitimate answer. I would be pleased they had told me and accept them as my son/daughter, just as I always had.

I imagine I'd let them know that I love them no matter what their sexual orientation. I don't believe that there is anything morally/religiously wrong with being a homosexual, and I don't believe it's a choice. I ALSO don't believe in making a person's life harder because of it.

There is nothing that needs to be done. Homosexuality is a life of being ostracized and living in fear. No one in their right mind would choose such a life - thus, I can't believe that it is a choice. All one can do is support and comfort the child as best you can.

Not a fair question for me to answer, since I have no children, but people I have loved as my own are gay, and I don't mind. It's up to them how they live...as long as they're safe about it, and I say that about the straight ones too.

Gay people are just different from straight folks, not wrong.

Depends how I found out. If I found out from someone else, I ask them why they didn't trust me enough to tell me in the first place. If they came to me and told me I'd let them know it doesn't change how I feel about them.

I wouldn't "do" anything. She/he is still my child, and I would be happy thay she/he could be comfortable enough with me to tell me. I would wish in my heart it wasn't true, but I would accept it.
FYI: I live in Massachusetts. Alot of young teens think they are gay if they are not interested in opposite sex as early as their friends. I have seen many kids "go straight" when they get a little older.

You know to be honest it would not bother me in the least. They would still be my son or daughter no matter what.
