Because you care about them, and care about how they think and feel. It magnifies any kind of pain that they may knowingly or unkowingly upon you.

Because he is part of your soul and it is so bad to separate from it...
Anyway, lot of people make mistakes about person they choose. Sometimes you think that he is the one, but truth is it is only physical...
I am telling you this because I know lot of people who suffer because of love for very long time, although they are together with that man.
What I am trying to say is - I think that if you had strong love, it must not hurt you! True love is like blessing, not mess.
I recommend you to put your feelings on test, maybe you will be surprised.
If you see he is really your big love, then go for it! But with patient. Love can be strong and beautiful if we give best of us.

Because you love them - a stranger or a friend or an acquaintance don't mean that much to you so you are not as sensitive to what they say or do.
Also, we tend to take those we love for granted.
And, then there are people who live by their emotions and don't think about what they say or do and how it will or can effect someone else - those are immature people.

Struggle with that myself, but I am realizing it is because you love them so much so naturally any and everything they do that isn't pleasing to you will hurt.
Love makes us extra sensitive to what is taking place in our relationship, which helps us appreciate things more as well.

Hi, I'm facing that now too. He believes that the person closest to you/the loved ones should be the ones who face the most harse treatment. I think it's 'coz they take you and love granted. They think no matter what, you will be able to take it.
