I was changing the keyboard on my laptop and when I popped the top off my computer I disconnected the rippon like thing. Now my computer gets power but nothing else. Is this fixable? How much will it cost?

If you mean a friction connection, yes. There should be two little brown tabs that will slide away from the connection in the direction of the flat ribbon. They are located to each side. Then carefully slide the ribbon in and push the tabs back in evenly.

The ribbon cable fits into a small connector. THe new keyboard will need to have it's ribbon cable connected to the right connector. If you look closely, you will see how it goes in.
If you are unable to get the ribbon cable connected, you may need to hve a tech take a look.
