Once again...the State has to ask for help, before the Federal Government can step in...maybe New Jersey's State Government is jacked up...after the tornadoes here and in Alabama, the Governors of GA and AL asked for Federal Aid the next day...blame your State Government...not the Federal...

In Katrina, if the Mayor and Governor had done their job the Feds could have been in quicker...most people who talk about the "poor" people of New Orleans, have never been there or just went there on vacation...some of the "victims" stayed behind to loot...New Orleans is the most dangerous city in the South and their "evacuees" have raised the crime rate in the cities they went to...New Orleans should be given back the Mississippi River and started over...

Your Bush hate makes you look silly...

Sorry to tell you, the FED don't care about us little peons. They are too busy covering their butts with all the catastrophe that they brought onto themselves, to help with a water level situation. Shades of Katrina will worsen before enough of us get FED up with it, and are willing to get things changed. I've said it before, of the Katrina disaster, 300 million people cannot possibly live on the one perfect speck of soil that is not struck by earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and wildfires. We are supposed to be the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. If we choose to put down those who have been affected by disaster, then we cannot be UNITED. It is a sad time we live in. I've warned people not to put others down for something that was clearly not their fault, or disaster of the same magnitude may strike them. I hope you people recieve the help that you need.

The DC area has been under several feet of water for the past couple of weeks. Actually, we've been having severe flooding problems on and off here since September. The federal government hasn't done anything for us and everyone here works for the federal government. We aren't pissing and moaning about being entitled to federal funding or aid. What makes New Jersey so special?

Don't just stand there in line waiting for the government to help you! Those that do wait in line for the government are the first to complain about when taxes have to increase and it is because of people like you standing out there with their hands out waiting for money. Get a job. The water line won't stay there forever. Volunteer at helping those who are losing thier homes by donating important things they have lost. Where do people think the money comes from when it comes from the government.....it comes from every working American person who is trying hard to make a living without relying on the government! What happened to Americans pride about doing things for themselves!?

Why are you blaming the Federal Government? Is the state of New Jersey unable to handle things? This has nothing to do with Katrina, maybe you should stop whining and go do something yourself.

The state government of New Jersey should be the first to do something and then ask for federal help.
