Does anyone know who the woman from the helicopter is? Have we seen her before in one of Desmond's flashbacks?

We have not seen her before.
Her name (via credits) is Naomi.
She is, we assume, from those people in the ice station that observed "it" and has now just found Desmond.
She is NOT the person that Desmond was engaged to before he left her and went to the monestary. Two very different people.

i agree with everyone here, except mitch who obviously wasn't paying attention, that we have not gotten to know who she is. it is possible she has been spotted in a flashback but i don't recall. i think she is someone who penelope sent to find desmond. unfortunately now she is stuck too. i am wondering how far from civilzation they actually are as she was in a helicopter. maybe she took off from a ship somewhere. guess we will have to wait and see.

It didn't seem like Desmond knew who she was. I wonder if she's somebody Penny hired to help look for him, since she had the picture of the two of them together.

Charlie said that it is Desmond's Ex the woman he left a week before they were to be married.
