When someone calls your cell phone . . .?

or home phone for that matter, and you miss the call, and you have voice mail and they leave no message, and you do not know the phone number, do you call them back and say "Someone called my phone from this number" or do you let it go figuring it was a wrong number or they will call back if it wasn't?

I do not understand why people do this. If someone calls my phone and I don't know who they are or they don't leave a message, I figure someone dialed the wrong number.

I don't know why but it irritates me when I have accidently dialed the wrong number and hung up and then I get the phone call "Someone called my number . . .?

Does this bother anyone else. Do you call the number back and if so, why?

No way, I'd feel stupid calling the number back and saying, "did someone just call me?". I would just assume it was the wrong number.

I always do. Because once I didn't. My girlfriend was in a car accident and didn't have her cell on her at the time. Someone was kind enough to let her use his and she called me. I didn't answer and she didn't leave a message. 12 hours later, she called me from the hospital. I could have been there for her but instead, I just assumed it was a wrong number and left it at that.

It's just there desperate nature to talk to someone, If I don't know the number and you don't leave a message, well I guess it wasn't that important if it is the will call back.

I have called back to them and I found them to be my old friend.
