Where is the controversy ? Al Quran is a book written for illetrate bedouins 1500 years ago. Bible, same but 3000 years ago.
While looking for scientific truth in those book. Faith is a personnal matter, it is in your heart (or not). It is not an rationnal thing. And thus, a religious fact is not provable and so not refutable.
Science is at the opposite. Scientific facts are provable.
