I'm thinking about getting my belly button and my tongue peirced. What about tattoos? I can't handle pain at all!

I have absolutely no pain tolerance and, I have two tattoos on my stomach and they didn't hurt at all. I also have my tongue and belly button pierced, my belly button pinched a little bit but that was it and I didn't even feel it when they did my tongue. Just make sure to suck on ice after you get it done to reduce the swelling.

I don't know as far as piercings go, I only have my ears done, but as far as tattoos, I personally think, it depends on the person. Some people can handle pain really well and hardly notice it, others, find it to excruciating. I personally though that when I got my first tattoo done, it felt a bit like a cat scratching you, but soon the area just went numb and endorphins kicked in, and I really didn't notice it at all. Piercing is only a few seconds then it sort of dulls I imagine, but a tattoo depending on it's size lasts a bit longer. I suggest that if you don't think you can handle the tattoo, holding off on that. Or if you really really want one, go with something really small and in a place not on a bone, which can be very painful. If you find that you can it wasn't as bad as you thought, then you can plan for something more. Hope this helps!

Well when I was in High School I got my belly button peirced and I wouldn't say it hurt but that is b/c for me nothing really hurts. I also have a tattoo and that hurt a bit. How old are you? If you are under 18 then you can't get a tattoo anyway.

Piercing are an intense pain and last until they heal. Tattoo's are an irritating pain when done on a sensitive part of your body. I had my belly button, eyebrow and all up and down my ears pierced and I also have two tattoo's. The belly button ring hurt the most. I had to take it out cause it just kept on hurting. My eyebrow ring didn't hurt at all. My tattoo on my arm didn't really hurt and the tattoo on my ankle hurt a bit on the bone. Good luck. http://www.tattoofire.com

Yes, they all hurt. When I got my tattoo (2 roses on my leg), it took an hour to finish and I cried the whole time. I totally regret it.
When you pierce your tongue, aside from the initial pain, it swells for a few days. You can't eat during that time.
For both the tongue and the belly piercing, the after-care doesn't end (unless you take the piercing out and let it close).

I have a tattoo on my belly/hip area...NOT a great place for lotsa needles...it hurt like you would not believe...and anyone who says tattoos don't really hurt, are people who are REALLY into pain....had I know ahead of time how bad it would be...I may not have done it...but once they start, you can't stop as it will leave a weird looking thing on your skin..
If you can't handle pain at all...then you should forget about getting of the aforementioned pierced or tattooed...
Ears tend not to hurt in piercing because you are piercing cartilage...eyebrows, tongues, and bellybuttons are not...

My eye brow was not so bad. The grab and pinch the skin so i mostly just felt the pressure that was being applied more than the piercing. I think it is similar with the belly button. Out of all the places that you get pierced you tongue is suppose to heal the fastest.
As for tatts, it is a burning, stinging sensation. Go small and simple, somthing with out a lot of detail for your first one so you can the idea of what it is like before you get a bigger one.

Well, I haven't gotten my belly button or toungue peirced. Just my eyebrow, and I wouldn't say it hurt any more than peircing ears. As far as tattoos, it just feels like your being scratched really hard.
But I've been through childbirth, so I compare everything to that. Neither peircing nor tattoos made me scream, so trust me, you'll live.

I would never do a tattoo or a piercing. They are painful and dangerous for your health.
