I much prefer to depend on myself than the self-serving crooks and liars in congress.

Congress cannot prevent crime that is a fact.
Law enforcement cannot prevent crime that is a fact.

Only you can save a life. And even if it only saved one life wouldn't it be worth it.

Because we are cattle.The lead Cow with it's bell around it's neck brings us back to the barn.We would just rather stay in the field munching our cud but he/she says we must go.They use lead cows in slaughter houses too by the way.

there to afraid of taking up for there self today's society is weak without a government telling them what to do all the time but turn around and do the same exact things they were against two days earlier [the government] is a hiding place for cons to hustle the people out of there rights we as a people need to do some thing stand up for our selves take our position in are country as free people we have the right to run our own USA by the people for the people not giving the government all the power and money and authority over our rights stand up and take charge of this free country, or is it

Last poll I saw about the trust of congress...congress was at 30%. Went up 3% from week before.

If you mean do people trust the law more than they trust strangers, who would you trust?

I've read Robert Heinlein. An armed society is a civil society is a paraphrase of one of his favorite themes. Problem is, there are too many variables in the human equation that makes this absolute statement dangerous.

We are and will remain a nation of law. While the law moves slowly, it will outlast us all.

I agree. That's why I prefer the Libertarian ideology to congress and a national army. Get rid of the army because Americas citizens our are best defense. Congress should not be allowed to make decisions that override the constitution and the bill of rights. Which they are constantly trying to do.

Because this generation has been raised and brainwashed by last generations sissies.....
I don't depend on anyone but myself for my own safety..
Police aren't constitutionally bound to protect you and by time they get there it's usually to process the crime scene.
