positions of power in the Bush administration can know so little or be so uninvolved as to be aware of what is happening around them? Dennis Hastert with Mark Foley, Alberto Gonzales with the U.S. Attorney firings, Donald Rumsfeld with the progress of the conflict in Iraq, V.P. Cheney insistant that Iraq will succeed in becoming a democracy, Paul Wolfowitz that Iraq will pay for itself. This is the party that rants about liberals destroying America. How do you rate the Bush Administrations performance?

It's not that they actually are unaware, they just lie about it. It's know as "plausible deniability," even if they've tried to stretch it to implausible extremes.

Lie, then when caught, say you were "mistaken" and come back with the next lie that matches what is now known. Except in this case he's constantly busted, so with each new edition of the "truth" his already miniscule credibility takes another hit.

Lying is congenital in this administration, and what's ironic is that Bush supporters claim moral high ground because they think Clinton had a problem with the truth. Maybe he did, but in comparison.... supporting this administration while criticizing the last on those grounds is breathtaking hypocrisy.

This is a long standing defence, Look back to Reagan and the Iran contra investigation.

The defence Reagan used what I do not remember!

It is a defence that can not be proven, BUT if he is hat week of mind then he should not be in charge and should not be qualified to ge the Attorney General of The United States.

I am still looking for a politician that will stand up and say it was on my watch and there for I am at fault!

I believe Bush and BushCo knew that there was torture going on in Iraq and that it was OKed by the White House. Collen Powell stated that he was concerned with the reports of torture in his weekly White House meetings with Bush Cheney and Rummy all present and all if got him was out of a job. Then they go on months later when it broke in to pictures on the networks, it was all unsanctioned and everyone was appalled. THEY KNEW! THEY OKED IT! They even OKed its use by the CIA as they illegally kidnapped people across the world and held them in secret prisons.

This administration is in it self LAWLESS and are destroying The United States of America!
