If you think it is an important interview, dress conservatively. Short pants may convey the wrong impression to the person conducting the interview. What is more important to you, style or getting the job?
t's probably one of the most overused phrases in job-hunting, but also one of the most underutilized by job-seekers: dress for success. In job-hunting, first impressions are critical. Remember, you are marketing a product -- yourself -- to a potential employer, and the first thing the employer sees when greeting you is your attire; thus, you must make every effort to have the proper dress for the type of job you are seeking. Will dressing properly get you the job? Of course not, but it will give you a competitive edge and a positive first impression.

I don't think the short pants are your best choice unless you're interviewing for a job in retail fashion or in a very casual, artistic environment. You might be interviewed by someone who thinks you're either wearing shorts or you pants have shrunk!! I'd suggest something a little less risky for your first impression on an interview. Once you're hired, you'll know more about the dress code, and perhaps you can show up looking smart and trendy in your dressy short pants. I wouldn't take a chance just yet. Play it a little safe.

I wouldn't...it may be OK to wear on the job but for an interview you should wear something more conservative. I'd stay on the safe side and wear pants.

If you wear dressy (not too flashy) shoes and a classy blouse it will look great!
It's an interveiw and they will expect you to dress up, but they also know you don't have the job yet, so in most cases they will not expect you to be wearing the exact attire required for position.
Also, wear something you feel confident in, if you wear something you are uncomfortable in it will show.
Good Luck!!!!

I don't know cause It depends on what the job is. If it's an office type of job I would dress fancier than that, but if it's not a place that requires that you dress up for work, then I would say it's okay.

I think your pants should come to your ankles and you should have on hose and heels.
