If your teacher accused you of cheating, and you did not cheat, then you MUST talk to him about it. That is not something you want on your record if you don't deserve to have it there. Teachers are human. They can make mistakes. If you can approach him in a non-confrontational manner and ask why he thinks you cheated, you may be able to convince him that you did not. You could offer to re-take the exam, if that is what was involved. Cheating is a fairly serious accusation, and he has to be able to back it up. If you acquiesce and don't challenge him, he's going to assume he is right and you are going to be branded as a cheater.

PS: You can, and you should, talk to your teacher. He can't take after you with a cat o' nine tails, chain you in the dungeon or pursue other medieval punishments. Stand up for yourself!!!

Why can't you talk to him about it? If you didn't cheat, you need to make it clear you didn't. First approach him with the question of why he thought you cheated...when he answers, provided it's a reasonable assumption based on factors that could be real, (saw you looking at someone else's paper or thought he did, you were using your phone or your phone was nearby, e.g.) then state your case.

Politely, and less defensively, state that you can understand where he might make that assumption but that you did not in fact cheat. Some of your supporting statements should include: Your past history....do you generally make good grades? Are you in general a good student? Explain to him why you have no need to cheat, for example, you study, you know it only helps you in the long run do your own. Good luck!

well, technically, adding to your answers after the time allowed for test was already over IS kinda cheating. I can see your point that you were not copying someone elses answers and shouldn't be punished for doing it. Your first mistake was admitting that you cheated after being pressured to by your vice principal. You should have stood firm in the fact that you were NOT cheating off the others persons answers, and let them put the two tests side by side and compare..........they should be able to tell that not every answer is exactly the same unless you both aced the test. Stick to your story, DON'T LIE about anything and hope that your parents are fair and understanding. Also take a lesson outta this for next time, its not worth the fuss to add to your answers if you realize you forgot something............just face the music and take the grade!!

Why can't you talk to him about it? That makes no sense. Part of going to school and growing up is learning to speak up, especially in your own behalf. If you have been falsely accused, then you are obligated to take up for yourself; otherwise, you risk being a "door mat" for the rest of your life and losing respect for yourself. If you actually DID cheat, then you are obligated to admit it to yourself and your parents, or you will see yourself as a liar as well as a cheat until you confront it for yourself. Grow up and do what you know is right.

Teacher will not accuse student if he or she does not have proof or see what you do every day and your daily test.

why can't you talk to him?

if he is accusing you of cheating you must defend yourself (that is if you didn't do it. if you did you have to ask yourself why? and come out about it.)

Well, that depends if you cheated or not. If you did but you lie to your parents, you are gonna make them look like and feel like asses.

As Gil Grissom is fond of saying, "The answer is in the details."
Give us the details or go through them yourself, and the answer will be obvious.
