He walked to a ferry about 2 miles and boarded with the early morning commuters,had his ticket checked and yet no-one questioned this.What did the passengers do cower at the other end of the ferry?

If I had seen him i woulda been freaked out.
I would have thought that on a ferry they don't let on passengers under the influence of anything, just as on a plane..
its like that on the ferrys here anyhow...

It is a little disheartening, isn't it? People just keep their head down and ignore it, always thinking that someone else will intervene...it's part fear and part apathy.
I've seen people getting beaten up on a bus and everyone just turned away....it's a world gone mad. I called the police and started shouting, eventually someone helped too - and the cowardly guys ran off.
Sad, but true....

when people seee something like that they dont question it just ignore it because if you get involved something might happen to you
