Your convicts can lay eggs about every 25-30 days if they aren't raising the babies. Since they aren't at all picky about water conditions your tank sounds great for convicts, you should have more really soon.

I have had convict and they breed breed and breed some more. If they are by themselves (mom and dad) the babies should be fine. I had some that would move the babies by putting them in their mouths and spitting them back out. Very fun to watch. If the eggs are a solid white they aren't going to make it, this may be why the mom ate them?

If you have convicts they will breed again soon ,you will be wondering what to do with all the fry before to long.Convicts are also great parents that will raise the young.
