Not the most original question and definitely not as hard as the original one.
The child molester has already contributed a cure from cancer, they can die. Parent is going to die anyway either from cancer or old age, sorry. Unlike most people, we can't have anymore kids unless we adopt, so they get priority. Hopefully the adults can swim...

Since I don't have a father or a child, I would save my mother in a heartbeat. However, I think this is a really interesting question. I think that most people would choose to save their children, since it's only natural. Many parents risk and even sacrifice their lives just to save their children. I think that for most of us, it's a normal part of our wiring to save the next generation, because it helps keep the species going.
