News in general is tasteless. The media should NEVER post the name of someone who does something like the VT act. Video? It should never be shown to anyone other than someone trying to discover and correct what would make a person do such an act, law enforcement, psychiatrist, psychologist, etc. Oh and ACLU lawyers who are so interested in seeing civil rights are not violated. 32 people were definitely violated. Where was the ACLU to shield them?

NBC will try to do anything to boost their ratings. The man was ranting and incoherent...........and I agree with the other poster....what was the purpose of showing this (other than ratings) while stating "I hope the families arent' watching...."
A brief summary such as "several incoherent video tapped rants by the killer were sent to NBC news are now being analyzed by FBI ........."
Showing them was just another HUGE mistake by NBC's idiotic heirarchy.

No! All they care about is that they were the first to get it on the air. They're all patting themselves on the back, the journalists and news anchors. They don't understand that it only means something to them! That the public is fed up with thier egos and thier inability to be compassionate.

I think it depends on how sensitive you are, for me this puts things in perspective. He was mentally ill and there were definite signs. I sympathize with the victims and relatives, but this is a wake up call to America to get better gun control.

Tasteless yes, but any station would have shown it, had they received it. It's all about ratings, and you know that. I have not seen the tape, nor will I ever. I refuse to pay that punk any attention, nor have I watched the news much the past few days. The media'a fake sorrow masked by there greed for ratings makes me puke.

This whole thing is a quest for ratings
What are they accomplishing? They are giving this crazy kid EXACTLY what he wanted - attention, fame, and his message to be heard
What the next suicidal kid going to think: Hey! If I take out 40 people with me then I will get on national news for a week too!
