Can anyone tell me what the best way to get a job is. Should I post my resume on Monster or hotjobs.com? Buy the local sunday paper? Is networking a good way? Should I walk from company to company filling out applications? What about a temp agency? I hear that with most temp agency jobs, the company ends up hiring you directly and then you can get benefits. Let me know your thoughts.

Many companies do not advertise job openings.
Reason being, they don't want to have to deal with unqualified, unsuitable applicants responding to want ads.

Networking is good, and if you can take advantage of it, by all means, do so.

Every job I have held I got because I walked in the front door prepared with knowledge of the company gained via library/ Internet research, a well written, grammatically correct resume' and self confidence.
