Are you a stay at home mom? Try striking up conversation with some of the other moms at the nursery school. Offer to voulenteer at your sons school in your free time. Also most nursing homes are willing to take in voulenteers. I also am a stay home mom of two school age boys and can sympathize with you. Feel free to e-mail me when you feel like chatten.

I feel the same way only my baby is 21 years old. I was working in our business but we sold it 2 years ago. I was thinking of volunteering. Or getting a part time job that would fit into the hours I want.

Find some things to do that involve other people. There are dance classes at colleges, there are church groups, there are women's benefit societies, there are nature and environmental groups, there are reading groups ... contact your local college, library and city hall, and they can direct you to any number of places ... go to learn, and be friends with others, and you'll find that there are many other men and women who are in your same position.

Get a hobby that will allow you to integrate with people or start going to the gym or to aerobics classes, also you could try talking to your neighbours or invite them for a cuppa, going out with family members and their friends if you get a long with them or your partners family (if you have one)

Do you have a church where other people have kids the same age as yours?
Do you work?
I hated having to send my son to pre-k this year but if you don't they will be behind when they start kindergarten.

What you need to do is socialize more instead of staying at home all the time. Remember that your friends don't always have to be your neighbors.
