Asante Samuel is great at geting ints but is no tackler like champ.
DeAngelo Hall has speed but same as above is no tackler.
Nate Clements is better than the two above in tackling but can also get beat deep by the elite wide outs.
And Dre Bly is just overrated and getting old.
Theres only one that will be even close and that is Rasheed Mathis. He is young and already easily in the top 10 and maybe even in the top 5 corners in the league. He is fast and can tackle great.

Champ Bailey is a stud and can cover every reciever and pick off any pass but I think that Asante Samual is a corner on the rise. He led the NFL in interceptions and everyone around the Patriots calls him the next Ty Law. I think that Asante is number 2 and one day might even pass champ Bailey and be the number 1 corner in the NFL

At DB you have an elite few, of which Champ is up there. Then there is a huge gap filled with mediocre cover guys who never did amount to anything. These guys are easily replaced each year in ther draft by more mediocre DBs.
Have you ever noticed that when an analyst describes a team he mentions either how strong the offense or defense is, but most often says the team's weakness is their secondary. Very few teams have a lock down secondary.

there is no other champ bailey in the league or the draft. Corners like champ only come around every 15 years or so.

It has to be Nate Clements...im a Bills fan, and that guy has been a great shutdown corner for us...and im pissed to see him go. And not to mention that Clements has another dimension, he is an excellent punt returner as well....he isnt on champs level, but his is certainly on the next tier down all by himself. D.Hall is probably a little below Nate.

Clements is by far the second best corner back in the NFL. He went un-noticed on sub par teams in Buffalo. After him its probably Samuel, Denagelo Hall, and Dre Bly
