Southern Illinois has that problem year round, actually. I think the only time you can relax a little is when it is brutally cold or when it is raining hard.

There is a tremendous overpopulation of deer around our neck of the woods, and with new development constantly encroaching on their habitat, they naturally have fewer places to "roam" and so, look out!! Cause, they definitely are out there just waiting for you to come by.

I dodged one and then it turned around and came back. I hit it and it was just laying there like it was dead but it really wasn't. I got out of the truck and I felt awful. It wasn't moving and then it just jumped up and ran off like nothing had happened! Faker!

I don't have to "dodge" them but I certainly need to watch for them. Last night we counted 16 of them in our back yard. Hope you didn't get much damage on your car.

Yes, especially coming around corners, the headlight catch their eyes, they freeze, and I must keep control of the auto.
Early mornings and evenings are the worst, they move to new ground then.

No, but if you could shoot a bullet that would travel 55 MPH and put headlights on it....the deer will jump in front of it for you...
