for me its just mickey mouse cricket that has been invented to attract the non believers,yeah its good to see the big hits but what else does 20/20 cricket have? and what credibility does the winner get-i mean who cares who wins a 20/20 championship. sorry mate I'm a bit more on the traditional side.

20/20 is no world cup, no matter how bad this one has been organised by the icc,lets hope the finals are great and our last memories of this world cup are good ones

Sri Lanka but watch out..4 Oz they R vicious & bogus. worst Cricket world cup ever.Definetely not to blame on any west Indian Fan. threy were great!!this is main fau;lt of ICC & officials. Ausies lost to bangladesh before Tigers rvolution even. They lost 3 consecutive games to Kiwis too Most humiliating , Australia lost to England who were thrashed by Sri lankans.Australia was the toughest team in the world to beat. But Mahela knew that it could be done and that the one team that Australia fear is Srilanka because of the fantastic talent and unorthodoxy of some of it's players. Sanath is the greatest one day allrounder of all time (nearly 12000 runs and 300 wickets) and can destroy any bowling attack on his day. Murali is the bowlers Bradman and only needs one opportunity to weave his magic. Murali was done several times by Umpire Bucknor when even clean LBw appeals were made. Malinga's menace was still to be feared by Australia in a oneday match. If Vaas's had bowled 29 th sunday the story would have been totally defferant.. Australia once had five runouts in Srilanka's hands and this is a very different fielding side to other Asian teams with Dilshan lurking around.Mahela is finally fulfilling his potential for the great batsman he is.he was given LBW in Most deplorable manner. it was clearly not out by Yards. honestly what;s with Bucknor ? Another ,cortsen type/ can't say surely. but he has some eye sight problem. Sangakkara has been the best gloveman in the tournament and can also sledge with the best.These are exotic talents who are playing with a burning desire to win. In 1996 Australia underestimated Srilanka who had the best batting . side in the world . Even after the 1996 world cup Australia was regularly beaten by Srilanaka. In 2007 Srilanka has the best bowling attack in the world. Also as with Bradman , numbers don't lie. Srilankans hold the highest oneday and test partnerships , highest test and oneday scores and a bowler who has the world record of 8 wickets in a match. This is the one team that can beat Australia and Australia knows it. Without doubt Australia is a good team in the world on their record but if Srilanka can expose their middle order to Murali and co it could have been going to be an interesting match. The one thing that Australia realises is that Srilanka will not be intimidated like South Africa and will bring their own unique brand of cricket and boldness to the game. Also as in 1996 they are coached by a brilliant , Australian Coach. still australia wins. Everybody believes that .Ponting must hand over the cup to Sri Lankans as a gentelmen. But..?. Like the hero sangakkara did. if he did not wave "no" to the umpire , when Malinga Create a catch , blind umpires could have given thedreaded finger. what's wrong with Australian Cricket Suppoters in this forum.? They even "Hate" any objection that proves they are Guilty.

yes the 20-20 world cup will be more fun than the odi world cup with India and Pakistan in the same group.

I don't think the test-playing nations will field their top players for this tournament (unless they want to have a fun time out there) - but the tournament should be very exciting, in my opinion.

I think 20-20 will replace ODI (50 overs) some day.
20-20 = more interesting, more hitting (6's) etc.
ODI (50) = slow game, bored fans etc.

Too much of cricket will make players and fans tired.
ICC should think more about players rather than scheduling useless tournaments.

i know the fixtures . But yea it probably will coz Twenty-20 is all about big hits n all. We will b treated to fantastic batting. the bowlers will give it their best too.
