Sounds like over watering. Or not enough watering.
Buy some good quality compost and re-pot.
Put your finger one inch into current soil. If it is wet and sticks to your finger it has been over watered.
If it is dry it has been under watered.
Make sure when you repot plant that you put some pebbles in the bottom off the pot for good drainage.
Good luck

Firstly check the stem , if it's soft then sorry it's dying . If not repot it into a larger pot, putting pebles at the bottom of pot.. Do not over water as yukka's do not like it. They do like the contents of used tea bags, not forgetting mirical grow which will turn the leafs dark green.

Right are you listening? Take pot outside, put down paper or poly bag to catch compost and tip yukka out, pull off old leaves, new compost in pot, maybe bigger pot, put foam pebbles in bottom first repot yukka and Bobs your uncle. Or you could plant it in the garden, remembering that it will grow and grow and grow. I have lots of yukkas in my garden that were house plants. You may also have to cut some of old root off as well. It will rec\over, they are very hardy. Mine even flower!

I grew up in Arizona and have had cacti anyplace I lived. a number of the cacti lived, too--yet they're mushy. i'm afraid that when the middle is black and molding, your yucca is probable a goner. because of the fact it is likewise infested with some form of pest (probably feeding on the rot), you're able to be able to besides tote the whole element exterior to the dumpster. in case you intend to re-use the pot, it is have been given to be washed thoroughly, with cleansing soap or detergent. examine different vegetation interior the place of work for a similar pests. BTW, it sounds like the yucca could have been overwatered or potted it soil which failed to empty sufficient, and/or did not get sufficient sunlight. I blend some million/2 sand, a million/2 potting soil for cactus, and place it on the sunniest window. man made gentle only would not look sufficient, whether it is on all day.

When was the last time you fertilized it? Yellow leaves usually mean the plant wants coperas -- rusty nails are an alternate for chemical fertilizing. Yucca are cacti/succulent and don't like a lot of water, do like full sun.
