Guard usually is lowered when one is depressed / or a feeling of helplessness pervades ones well being / at the other end of the scale when you are convinced with out doubt that you are about to make a fortune HA!! no such luck / unconditional trust / and as the wheel of life turns it becomes increasingly hard to avoid becoming a dyed in the wool cynic / so one develop es various defence tactics and the interesting thing is each one of us has different ways of doing all of the above that is what makes life interesting because each and every one of us have weak spots and a scam artist who makes a living out of it has the gift of finding out ways of lowering your or my guards / so be care full out there and only trust in the lord

I can't lower my guard. There are so many crazy people in this world, and I have had a lot of bad experiences.

To get too busy to pray or read my Bible. Then my Spirit gets weak, and my Guard goes down.! Satan's Job here on earth, is to Rob, Steal, And Destroy and the only way He can do this is to find us with our Guard Down. And this includes every situation you can name. He is behind ALL unhappiness and Misery and Troubles. Always attaching Us when our Guard is down! We fight Him off, with prayer and God's Help. We are the Victor.

This may sound stupid but Y!A lowers my guard. On here, I'm unafraid to share things about myself. In person, however, I never let my guard down to anyone.

I have a tendency to lower it when I am around friends and people which I trust. The thing is I know that it can be bad to do so, but still its more fun when people aren't up-tight and being careful what they say.

I used to think the love of a really good kind loving caring man ( who I love dearly and understands) but still I can't let it down. Self preservation is a basic instinct in everyone.

I try not to (maybe I should try harder!) but, when you really have a connection with someone down it comes!. Sure you can end up getting hurt but, what if you missed something/someone great because you were concerning yourself that all may not be as it seems - paranoid thinking is not healthy either!.
