With the tragedy of this week getting behind us. I don't wanna keep pounding the bad news. There is plenty of it, out there. And they all need to be dealt with.
But I ask that we use the Gunmans own words. To make our lives a little easier. Try this for no apparent reason.

Should you see someone, acting a bit down on their luck? Let `em know you care! A Hand-shake, a voice of hope, advice on how to deal with things. How often do you talk to a fellow-Employee. Let `em know you're able listen?

If anything is learned from this weeks tragedy. It's that we all need to be able to help. And look around for possible others who may need that vote of confidence.
But here's the thing. When they ask, why would you do this? Just tell `em. "You made me do it".

It turns the memories of this tragedy. Into something more positive. And it gives us all a feeling that life really isn't all that bad.
With the images that's being shown? I'm reminded of,
"But by The Grace of God, go I"

In keeping with having my Friends in P & S see this? I wanna ask two simple questions. Does this weeks tragedy cause you to wanna look at strangers. And see if they may need some help? Or has it gotten you to openly talk to your Children. To see how they're getting by with life?
I was so impressed by how many good answers was given yesterday. I hope this may bring a little light to your life.
Have Peace.

Food For Thought: If you see someone all off to themselves? Are you gonna run away? Or try to approach them? A Handshake will not bring someone back to sanity. But it may allow us to see that there is a problem.

I agree with you. We should all make an attempt to reach out in love to those around us. Especially those who are lonely, hurting and depressed.

But, didn't I see an article that said that when people would say hi to him, he would simply turn away, or blankly stare at them? I don't think he wanted friends. He probably felt this way going into college and possibly throughout high school. High school years are tough and there are a lot of snobby kids who DO pick on the underdogs, but you have to be a strong enough person to be able to pick up the pieces and move forward with your life. Money isn't everything and growing up, it's mom and dad's money anyways. It's hard to make friends with someone who has so much hate and doesn't want friends, you know what I mean? Of course it may make someone feel good about showing they care about the less fortunate and all, but if they refuse to accept any kindness, I think they may be too far gone......

Some people are beyond help, such as the lunatic that caused the tragedy at VT....Such incidents make me even more suspicious of people in general, unfortunately, but if I know someone needs help and I am able to assist in getting them some I will do it at all costs to prevent any tragic dilemmas from happening...My prayers are with those involved in the VT incident..

I agree in being nice to people and all..

BUT...

That guy was a nutjob and would have done it no matter how nice to him people were. People probably treated him no differently than they do everyone else in the world. He just had the problem with himself.

I got picked on in grade school. I've had some people treat me shitty throughout my life.

It has never crossed my mind to carry a gun into a dormitory and kill 32 people.

That student was a hard core introvert... unfortunately he was a fruit loop and needed help. With guns readily available for this loony, you'll probably see more of these tragedies.
