I don't believe Aaron used steroids. But obviously I do not know.
However, to those who believe steriods were not invented until recently the first link disproves that. It's about a reliever named Tom House who claimed to have used steriods in the 60s and 70s.
BTW, and take this for what it is worth, House pitfched for the Braves during his career and actually was the man who caught Aaron's 715th HR. (That is mentioned in the artcile.)
So did Aaron take any performance enhancing drugs of any sort? No way to know. Could he have? Yes, most definately.
Edit: "Do some research"? Steroids were around back in Aaron's day. Just read the article I linked in the source section. This is a legit question.

The only person who knows for certain is Hank Aaron.
Steroids have been around for a very long time (and yes, they were around back then). Testing, however, wasn't around.
It's possible.
I, honestly, don't buy all the hype about steroids. If I took steroids, I still wouldn't be able to hit a 95mph fastball out. Jeremy Giambi admitted to taking steroids and look how many home runs he has hit.
McGwire hit 49 home runs his rookie season and he was rail thin.
Talent plays >95%. Steroids help to keep athletes healthy (heal quicker) as well as bulk up.

My answer is no way racial. I watched a documentary on him, his wrist power was amazingly strong. Hank Aaron himself credited his wrist power to picking the seeds out of cotton with his father when he was young. He had some cotton in his hand and demonstrated how he did it. True story

I followed Henry Aaron's baseball career from the 1950's till he retired and can honestly say I NEVER heard any "dirt" about him on or off the field. It was mentioned hundreds of times that his playing weight was 175 pounds throughout his career. Had he been on "anything" it would have shown.
Aaron was a pure "wrist" hitter. His wrist were 8-inches round and very strong. He stroked the balls over the walls, never tried to overpower it.

you = crack user?
cuz you must be on it to question Hammerin' Hank's integrity.
just because you're bitter about your boy Bonds getting called out on the carpet for being a whiny cheater, doesn't mean that you have to waste peoples' time by asking dumb questions that shows your angst. be happy instead. buy yourself a flower. or perhaps a Hot Pocket. contribute to baseball by asking questions of importance. but then again, it's too late, isn't it. cuz you're already reading this and going to hit the thumbs down. just like all the other Bonds' worshippers. it's ok. it still doesn't make him a winner or the best or the true home run king....or a Hall of Famer for that matter.

You made this asinine accusation. the place is YOUR information? "surprising uptick in the direction of the tip" 1974 - 20 HR, sixty 9 RBI, .268 BA 1975 - 12 HR, 60 RBI, .234 BA 1976 - 10 HR, 35 RBI, .229 BA this is a "surprising uptick"? by the way, there is no dictionary, or be conscious checklist acceptance of "uptick". Can we all just leave the steroid issue alone? It makes no sense to ask if everyone in history was using.

There is absolutely no way Aaron used steroids, and I think its blasphemy just to ask that question.
