I have many favourite older bands including
The Eagles, Duran Duran, Thin Lizzy, Queen, T-Rex
depends what mood I'm in.
Solo Singers I'd go for
Marc Bolan, Frank Sinatra, Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet and occasionally Gary Barlow of Take That,

My favorite singer is Mike Park- he does great solo acuostic stuff also sings in a few different bands (formerly Skankin Pickle, now The Chinkees and the Bruce Lee Band) and also runs his own record label and peace foundation. He is extremely talented, has a great voice, and a great message to his music. He has also helped the careers of a number of great bands and hasalways stayed underground despite many offers to go mainstream.
My favorite band is The Lawrence Arms- they have a great rythem to every song, great lyrics to every song, and two very different and distinct singers. Also, they put on one of the best live shows I have ever seen. They are by far my favorite band ever and everyone should check them out.
